Freedom Seekers

Ready to make career moves but too busy or burned out to figure out next steps alone? Let’s chart your path forward together.

Freedom Seekers is a virtual program for women of color who want to
plan their next job or career move in a supportive community.

We all have the right to change the course of our lives and pursue a path to greater fulfillment. But this is easier said than done when we’re too stressed or burnt out to imagine what’s possible. Or when we feel shackled by obligations, expectations, or fear.

That’s why Freedom Seekers draws on the stories and strategies of our ancestors who escaped bondage or left their homelands with dreams of a better future, moving bravely through unknown terrain.

You already have the roadmaps and power to make change!

As your coach, I’ll help you craft a “Freedom Plan”—a combination of vision and strategy—while working through tough questions that need answers:

‣ What are you seeking freedom from?

‣ What resources do you need to get where you want to go?

‣ Who are the allies and abolitionists in your life?

‣ What are you willing to sacrifice for the change you desire?

‣ What shifts will keep burnout at bay going forward?

Whether you’re looking to change jobs or build something of your own,
now’s the time to figure out the steps to where you want to be.

WHO’S OUR GUIDE?

Hey, Freedom Seeker!

I’m Nicole, a certified career and wellness coach specializing in burnout. Over the course of my career, I’ve moved up and out of nonprofits, freelanced my way through a recession, did the cubicle thing at a Fortune 100 company, made multiple cross-country moves for a job, and jumped off the proverbial cliff to follow my dreams. So far, so good.

Every job and career change has taught me valuable lessons that I bring with me to Freedom Seekers. I don’t have all the answers, but I'm here to share whatever I can. I’m great at helping people figure out what they really need and creating safer spaces where we can all learn from each other.

FAQ

  • You’ll receive an email with a link to my calendar to schedule a short call. The week before the program starts, I’ll email you with all the details.

  • Freedom Seekers centers women of color. Borrowing from Women of Color in the Arts, “women” here means all those who identify as women or with womanhood, including non-binary, trans, and cisgender women. We use “women of color,” acknowledging that it’s a political label, not a biological one, borne out of a solidarity movement originating from the labor of Black women. If you don’t identify as any of the above and are interested in this program, book a call with me.

  • Nope, and here’s why:

Reason #1: One of the benefits of this program is the live conversations. I want you to be present to yourself and each other rather than extracting information from recordings. Please plan to attend the group calls to get the most from this experience.

Reason #2: I do my best to create a safe space where we can speak freely about our jobs and lived experiences, but that can’t happen when our conversations are recorded. If you miss a session, I will provide excellent but edited notes.

Closed captioning will be provided in English during our live calls. If you have other accessibility needs, let me know, and I’ll do my best to accommodate you.

  • I accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. I also accept PayPal. I am not set up to receive checks or invoices.
